Short Word-Length Entering Compressive Sensing Domain: Improved Energy Efficiency in Wireless Sensor Networks

چکیده

This work combines compressive sensing and short word-length techniques to achieve localization target tracking in wireless sensor networks with energy-efficient communication between the network anchors fusion center. Gradient descent is performed using time-of-arrival (TOA) data which are indicative of distance thereby achieving range-based localization. The considered delta modulation sigma-delta modulation. energy efficiency due reduction volume transmitted from center by employing any two variants techniques. Delta allows transmission one bit per TOA sample. increased RⱮ, R ≥ 1, where sample ratio sensing, Ɱ number bits originally present a TOA-sample word. It found that system involving has superior performance delta-modulation or pure sampling alone, terms both error presence measurement noise noise, owing shaping property
